2020 Contests – ORDER OF PLAY ANNOUNCED

Kansas City, Missouri – The MHAF Board of Directors is pleased to announce the contestants and order of play for the January, 2020 Winter Storm piping and drumming contests, to be held over two days.

Thursday, January 16, 2020, will be devoted to the North American Amateur Ceol Beag and Piobaireachd Championships, for pipers graded 1, 2, or 3.
Friday, January 17, 2020 will be devoted to the drumming contests (professional and amateur – snare, bass, and tenor) and the professional piping contests.

Additionally, Midwest Pipe Band Association (MWPBA) -which is the Foundation Sponsor of Winter Storm-  will concurrently hold the Terry McHugh Memorial Regional Grade 4 Qualifier at the Winter Storm event on January 16, 2020. What is more, the top three finishers in each of the three MHAF North American Amateur Ceol Beag grades will be invited to compete in the Terry McHugh Memorial Solo Piping Contest finals on May 2, 2020, in Park Ridge, Illinois.

The Winter Storm piping and drumming workshop, concert, and Winter Steam are scheduled for January 18 and 19, 2020.

Many of the contests, the awards ceremony, and the concert will be Live Streamed.
