Live Stream Fundraiser Exceeds $10K Goal
February 9, 2025Kansas City, Missouri – The Midwest Highland Arts Fund (MHAF) Board of Directors is thrilled to announce that MHAF has exceeded its $10,000 Live Stream fundraising goal for 2025.
MHAF President Mark Fullington expressed his gratitude, stating, “We are incredibly thankful for the generosity of supporters from around the world who contributed to the Live Stream. A special thank you goes to Jerry and Meghan Carpenter for their generous pledge to match total 2025 Live Stream donations up to $5,000. We are also grateful for the financial support from the Midwest Pipe Band Association (MWPBA), which strengthens MWPBA’s ongoing Major Sponsorship of Winter Storm Workshops and the U.S. Silver Medal Piobaireachd Championship. Additionally, we deeply appreciate Andrew Douglas and Carl Donley of Dojo U, an online bagpipe school, for their longstanding partnership with MHAF, providing Live Stream equipment, infrastructure, and organization.”
MHAF extends its heartfelt thanks to the dedicated volunteers who operated video cameras across various venues, ensuring a high-quality broadcast experience.
The majority of the competitions held on January 16 and 17, 2025, as well as the awards ceremony, were streamed live, along with the highly anticipated Winter Storm – The Pipes & Drums Concert on January 18. To date, nearly a quarter-million minutes of live-streamed and recorded footage have been viewed by thousands of fans. Leading the list of viewer locations are Scotland, Canada, the United States, and Australia.
