MHAF Achieves $5K Live Stream Fundraiser Goal

Kansas City, Missouri– The Midwest Highland Arts Fund (MHAF) Board of Directors is pleased to announce that the Winter Storm 2018 Live Stream donation goal of $5,000 was achieved today. Beth Wilson, MHAF President, stated; “We are humbled by the generosity of nearly 250 people around the world who found it in their hearts to financially support MHAF’s Live Stream. And, we are most grateful to Andrew Douglas and Dojo U for originally bringing this idea to MHAF, and providing the infrastructure and manpower, as a Major Sponsor, to make the Live Stream a reality.”

In addition, MWPBA provided support for the Live Stream, bolstering its ongoing Major Sponsorship of Winter Storm Workshops and the U.S. Silver Medal Piobaireachd Championship.

A number of the January 12, 2018 contests and that evening’s awards ceremony were broadcast, as well as Winter Storm 2018 – The Pipes & Drums Concert on January 13. To date, there have been a total of 38,475 views of the original Live Stream broadcast(s) and recordings of the broadcast(s).
