Winter Storm Adds Fourth Day for 2020

Kansas City, Missouri – The Midwest Highland Arts Fund (MHAF) Board of Directors is pleased to announce that an additional day has been added to the upcoming Winter Storm – The Pipes and Drums Event schedule, January 16 – 19, 2020.

The additional day, Thursday, January 16, 2020, will be devoted to the North American Amateur Ceol Beag Championships, and the North American Amateur Piobaireachd Championships. Amateur Pipers graded 1, 2, or 3 may enter these competitions.

Friday, January 17, 2020 will be devoted to the drumming contests (professional and amateur – snare, bass, and tenor) and the professional piping contests.

The piping and drumming workshop, concert, and Winter Steam are scheduled for January 18 and 19, 2020.

Beth Wilson, MHAF President, said, “The MHAF Board has been thrilled by the large number of amateur piping entries at Winter Storm in 2018 and 2019. In response, we are most happy to add a day dedicated to the amateur piping contestants.”
