North American Amateur Ceol Beag Championships, sponsored by Tartantown, presented by Lee & Sons Bagpipes

Amateur Pipers graded 1, 2, or 3 may enter this competition.

Pipers placing First through Third in the grades 1, 2, and 3 will win the Midwest Highland Arts Fund Medal bronze medal, 2.5 inch diameter (6.5 cm), as well as a pipe bag custom made to each piper’s specifications, provided by Lee & Sons Bagpipes.

The entry fee for the North American Amateur Ceol Bag competition Grades 1, 2, and 3 is $35.00

Open to the first eligible applicants in each grade as follows:

Gr 1 = 35
Gr 2 = 29
Gr 3 = 26

North American Grade 4 Bagpipe Championship

Sponsored by The Armstrong, Knox, McDowell, Stanfield, Wells Foundation

Pipers placing First through Third in grade 4 will win the Armstrong, Knox, McDowell, Stanfield, Wells Foundation bronze medal, 2.5-inch diameter (6.5 cm) and a custom pipe bag from Lee & Sons Bagpipes. The first-place winner will receive the Ken Eller Scholarship, which includes Winter Storm workshop registration, four nights of hotel accommodation and contest entry for the following year.

Grade 4 Bagpipe Championship entry is included as a FREE option with each paid Grade 4 piping workshop registration. Workshop enrollment deadline for those wanting to enter the grade 4 piping contest is November 30. Click here to register for the workshop and enter the grade 4 contest. 

Amateur piping and drumming contests will be held on January 15, 2026.

Entry Deadline is November 30. There is no waitlist for 2026.
